Peterson Mingo grew up in Cincinnati as one of twenty-six children. He served his country in the Marines and has gone on to serve his community in many ways. In addition to his work at Christ Temple Baptist Church in Evanston, he is a committed volunteer.
In 1993, Pastor Mingo started the Evanston Youth Athletic Association and continues to be a champion for bettering the lives of youth in the Cincinnati area. Pastor Mingo is also a board member of the Coalition for a Drug Free Greater Cincinnati, founder of the Peace Bowl Classic Youth Football Games and the founder of the Evanston Bulldogs Youth Sports. He continues to be an inspiration to many others.
March 2017: Congratulations to Pastor Mingo, Peace Bowl Classic founder, on receiving The Lifetime Achievement Award from the President of the United States, Barack Obama.This prestigious award honors philanthropists and community leaders who consistently give of their time and service to make a difference in the lives of others, community and our country.
